Notes:

As Will F. Jenkins he won Liberty Magazine's 1937 short story award of $1,000 for "A Very Nice Family". The Eastern Science Fiction Association cited him as the "dean of science fiction" for more than 50 years of "outstanding writing"; Time magazine was the first to give him that title. The television series Time Tunnel and Land of the Giants were based on his works. He received two patents on the Front Projection System which he later sold to Sherman Fairchild of Fairchild Camera.
Leinster received the "Hall of Fame" award from the 27th World Science Fiction Convention held in St. Louis in September 1969. He was awarded the Acheivement Award by the World Science Fiction Society in New York City in 1956 for his novelete "Exploration Team". He was Guest of Honor at the Disclave held by the Washington Science Fiction Association, Washington, D. C., on May 15, 16, and 17, 1970.
