Synopsis:

Cadet Worf volunteers to accompany one of his Starfleet Academy professors on a mission into deep space. They must stop the turmoil endangering an experimental colony jointly run by the Federation and the Klingon Empire. The internal strife becomes moot, however, when the colony is attacked by a mysterious ship that looks to be of Klingon design but which is using Federation weaponry. The story concludes in Star Trek: The Next Generation Starfleet Academy #3: Survival.
