The Year of the Last Eagle

Overview:

Synopsis:

Fitz, sometime ornithologist, had just spent ten years on our Synchronous Satellite known as Teleburp. His return to Earth was accompanied by intense depression and general shakiness of legs (the gravity), nausea (the "air"), jangling nerves (the noise), violent irritation (a combination of several unmentionable factors) and a deep conviction that he should have stayed in space. But he had a nationally important duty to perform. As a combined astronaut-ornithologist, Fitz was appointed to save the national emblem - the eagle - from extinction.
