He lives in a cabin in Fairbanks, Alaska, with his daughter. To support his writing he works as a graphic designer and teaches desktop design for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His interests include ballroom dancing and dipnetting for sockeye salmon, but mostly writing and talking about writing.
