Indeed, it illustrates the latter part of the last instalment, which is cut entirely in the 1899 revision; not represented in the text published here! That is serial Chapter XXVI, "From the Hill-Side": A shepherd discovers Graham badly injured, and another man dead, after the crash of two aeropiles.
