- This is a "childrens binding" hardcover meaning the artwork and title are both printed directly on the cover and on the dust jacket. The dust jacket includes more of the painting plus has the flaps.
- There is no barcode. The ISBN13 is on the back cover and copyright page.
- The price is not stated. A scan of Amazon and Goodreads reviews shows that the author has hired college students to give the books away. The Amazon listings for both the pb and hc edition show that the books are only available from secondary market sellers. When checked on 2015-09-27 The author's web site is offering the hc edition with a music CD for $14.99, the novel alone for $9.99 though they don't state if that's for the hc or pb edition, and the music CD for $9.99.
