- Apparent first printing -- no statement of impression, which appears to be present in later printings.
- The list on the back cover includes all titles in this series except for "Water Fairies". The title page refers to the St. John Webb as "the author of 'Orchard Fairies' and 'Heath Fairies' ", so those (at least) came out before this one.
- The sub-titles for the contents are not used in the Table of Contents, nor the title at the beginning of the poem itself, but are used on the title pages of each poem, so we include them here.
- Interior art consists of one full-page, full-color plate for each story, plus 23 additional b&w drawings (of various sizes). The dust jacket cover reproduces the plate for "Sing a Song of Starlight". The board cover reproduces the b&w sketch from the title page.
