- "Son of Daddy!" by Jack L. Chalker in Fantasy Newsletter No. 62, September 1983 states that 2000 copies were printed, of which 1000 were clothbound, 300 were later paperbound and the remaining 700 shares sold for Pick-a-Book. Chalker also states that only 1500 of the original jackets were printed, so 500 copies of a new one were created with "Gnome Press" on the spine, all ads gone, and the illustration in black rather than the original green.
- This listing is for wrapper-bound edition, possibly the Pick-A-Book version noted by Chalker. There is no printing on wrapper of verification copy. Text block appears identical to the FPCI hardcover. In addition to the jacket states noted by Chalker, verification copy has a variant in black and red with "FPCI" on the spine, blank on back, price-clipped at top corner, and trimmed at top to fit wrappers which are same size as text block.
