Notes: There is disagreement about the year of publication. Wikipedia claims it as 1890, and claims it was published a year after "The Gombeen Man", but the Gombeen Man was published in Nov. 1890. The reprint published by Valancourt Books claims it was published in 1890. A first edition offered for sale by Bloomsbury House Auctions lists the copyright date as 1891, although their copy was signed by Stoker for Christmas 1890. Archive.org copy has 1891 on title page.
