Front matter Roman numbered through page ix, first Arabic number is page 3, with a page that would be page x between the last Roman numbered page and the two unnumbered pages 1-2. There is a final unnumbered page (it would be p.160) which has the last part of the text on it.
34 color plates, mounted on tan paper, with descriptive tissue guards. Mounting and descriptive tissue pages are not numbered, and are inserted between numbered pages.
There are numerous B&W drawings and decorations by Rackham used throughout the text.
