Between the ebook title screen and its Contents list (The Portent, chapter titles I to XXVII, and six story titles), two "screens" distinguished by horizontal lines display the long title and dedication of the novel alone. Probably those two screens are transcripts of two pages in the source edition. Both those pages show "The Second Sight" thus, in italic font.
