The original does not name Johnson on the title page, only on a preliminary leaf that identifies the series. Thus the original introduction is not explicitly credited, but it ends with the line "R. B. J." (Original viewed as HathiTrust Digital Library 012294087 (J. M. Dent, 1896).)
