In the Miscellaneous Section, he states that the SFBC offered the trade edition of this title, but he lists it as a separate edition in the Author Section of his encyclopedia. Some Bantam paperback printings give the publication date for this first book club edition as November 1952 but the SFBC did not begin until March 1953.
