    • Unlike most volumes in this series, there is no frontispiece. In its place there are are nine full-page color illustrations by Mugnaini on unnumbered plates. There are more B&W illustrations throughout the book, roughly one per story.
    • In the place of a Table of Contents there is a "Chronology" which in double columns lists the dates (on the left) and the story title (on the right). These dates are printed in the graphic headings on each story's title page, but they are NOT part of the story's title. The year only is also printed in the outer margins on each page of the story.
    • This oversized volume is 26 cm. and has relatively large print.
    • The introduction appears on unnumbered pages, so the pages before the first numbered one have been added to this record in order to place it.
    • "Collector's Notes" (uncredited) are on a double-sided laid-in sheet.
    • This edition is a facsimile reprint of the 1974 Heritage Club edition, including the same artwork by Mugnaini, but with a new introduction by Damon Knight (personally dated May 1, 1988) replacing the one by Martin Gardner.
