- The cover appears to be nearly the same as the cover of the UK HC. The small difference is that the blurb above "THE BLACK MAGICIAN TRILOGY" seems to slightly different for the Australian edition. (It has "The international bestselling author of" rather than the UK's "The Sunday Times bestselling author of".)
- The author's name is in "gold foil" & hasn't scanned well.
- Based on the information on the copyright page, this publication seems to be a clone of the Orbit UK hardcover edition ([approx. (?)] simultaneous).
- Appears to be the first Australian edition/printing, although there is no number line or other specific statement.
- The maps are assumed to be by Trudi: there is no other attribution and Trudi is also an artist. ...clarkmci
