  • Despite being titled "Foreword", the first item is fiction, not an essay. It is a vignette about finding the "lost" stories.
  • The text is largish typeface & fairly well spaced. Each story starts with a title page on an odd page, followed by a blank page. Most of the stories are divided into chapters which start on a new page. This was taken into account when estimating story lengths.
