(Manchester Guardian 1915-06-24 p5; The Observer -07-04 p3 and -07-18 p6). In those two newspapers -08-05 and -08-01, similar advertisements simply list this title among others without qualification. Several newspapers and magazines evidently received copies, and some reviewed the work, around the turn of July/August. Advertisements include the parenthetical subtitle, consistently without a hyphen.
- Price 6 shillings is from all those notices and from {{Tuck}}. Mills & Boon lists several other books by London, "The author with the wartime sales", in both 6/- and 1/- editions.
