The appendix also notes "A full list of the Hugo winners though 1961 has been prepared by Ed Wood, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, a prominent science fiction fan with an encyclopedic knowledge of the field. This list has been made available to me by Earl Kemp, chairman of the committee that is organizing the 20th Convention, which will be held in the month which this book is published."
- The Introduction essay on pages [x] to xiv and the "Postscript" essay on pages [264] and 265, both by Isaac Asimov, are not listed in the publication's table of contents on page [ix].
- The appendix for the second part is listed as "Hugo Awards 1962-70" in the table of contents on page [271] and as "Hugo Awards 1962-1970" in the body of the book. The difference is that in the TOC "1962-1970" was shortened to "1962-70".
