- According to Locus1, this edition lacks a price and ISBN, and has the SFBC number on the back jacket. The ISBN is, however, listed on the copyright page, and is from the SFBC-assigned range of numbers. The ISBN is printed in a different font than the rest of the copyright page, hence was likely added after. It is likely that Locus received an advanced copy, which did not have the ISBN.
- "The Roc edition lists Elizabeth Waters as co-holder of the copyright, but she is not listed in this edition." (Locus1) The copyright page says "Text copyright © 1997 by Marion Zimmer Bradley"; no mention is made of Elizabeth Waters within the book.
