Tales from Laura Gonzenbach were previously published in The Robber with a Witch's Head & Beautiful Angiola (both 2004), translated by Zipes. Three titles slightly altered. All but 1 tale from Pitrè were previously published in The Collected Sicilian Folk and Fairy Tales of Giuseppe Pitrè (2009), also translated by Zipes. 'Rushen Coatie' & 'Catskin' by Joseph Jacobs are erroneously listed as from English Fairy Tales (1890). They are from the sequel More English Fairy Tales (1894). 'Gold Tree and Silver Tree' is from Jacobs' Celtic Fairy Tales (1892). Friedmund von Arnim's 'Iron Hans' was previously published in Zipes' anthology The Great Fairy Tale Tradition (2001). The illustrators are all from the Cambridge School of Art (at Anglia Ruskin University, England) with Melville, Castrillon & Stypulkowski part of the Brolly Lolly collective.
