N.") -- narrative, p[1]-250 -- publisher advertisements, p[253-56] Unusually the series of 277 images are numbers 670-946 in sequence. Spine and back covers are missing. Some front pages (perhaps blank) must be missing, because the first three images show front cover, frontispiece illustration, and title page.
- "5 unnumbered leaves of plates" --WorldCat (OCLC, below), probably a miscount 4 etchings by Bellew (per title page, above) There is no list of illustrations or plates. The index of images lists "Image Recto" and "Image Verso" between page numbers 78/79, 164/65, 216/17; that is, three plates not included in the pagination. Including frontispiece, images of the four engraved illustrations are id/# 671, 762, 851, 904 (out of context, all non-genre).
