Cover, endpapers, and title page appear to be illustrated by the same artist, and to depict the same race of little people in scenes unrelated to the Ewing stories. That race of presumable "Brownies" may not be Woodward's, either. {{a|M. V. Wheelhouse}} may be the cover, endpapers, and title page artist for all Queen's Treasures volumes. The 8 coloured plates were by Wheelhouse in 7 of the first 9 volumes, with now 2 volumes by Woodward.
