    • Contents in three groups:
      1. "Fairy Stories", 29 poems on pp. 3-82.
      2. "Fairy Songs, Dances, and Talks", 32 poems on pp. 85-141.
      3. "Fairyland and Fairy Lore", 40 poems on pp. 145-180.
    • There are additional quote extracts from poems for each of the three sections. These are not included in the contents, and consistent our not including such quotes at the beginning of books, we do not include those here.
    • The ToC lists "Song", by John Milton, but errs because the book includes two different such "Songs". Both are included in our contents below.
    • "Fairy Lullaby" is uncredited, but translated by E. Sigerson. "The Fairies' Lullaby" is uncredited, but translated by E. Hall.
    • Although credited to Tom Hood, "From 'The Plea of the Midsummer Fairies'" is actually by Thomas Hood, the father of Tom Hood and is an excerpt from an 1827 book. The entry in this book begins with verse III of the original.
