Notes: This copy has "copyright 1956" on the copyright page. It is bound in yellow cloth with black stamping. The dust jacket has a printed price of $2.00 in the lower right corner of the front flap. The rear panel of the dust jacket has review blurbs from ALA Booklist, The Horn Book Magazine, and Publisher's Weekly as well as illustrations. I believe this is the First Edition, Second Issue of this title and came after copies with a 1955 copyright date. The publisher sent me images of their File Copy of this title, which was of this issue, and it had an inscription from Mary Hill Arbuthnot dated 1958. Oddly my copy of this issue has a previous owners inscription dated May 1958. This makes me wonder if this 2nd issue with a 1956 copyright date was not issued until 1958.
