The "Belief" section is most unusual, as on page 285 there is an asterisk (*) near the end of a speech by a character. At the bottom of the page is a note: "From this point on, I began to revise. The revised ending, from this point on, begins on page 298." Thus the content starting on page 298 is only the last one third to one half of the novelette, with a second note at the beginning explaining what/why (there was no need to re-print the first part as it was identical).
