This is new as from Doubleday, Page & Company, which acquired McClure's book publishing operations late in 1908, and then advertised McClure's books in newspapers, including the 1st ed. of this work. Publication year 1909 is reported only at Amazon (ASIN, below) --not found in a library record-- but the known 1909 Doubleday, Page ed. of The Fairy Ring (title page viewed at HathiTrust) is not found in a library record. Series name "(The) (Children's) Crimson Classics", reported at Amazon, is known from 1908 Doubleday, Page usage probably in place of "McClure's Library of Children's Classics".

Page count xi+467 must be expected, as for the 1st ed., with printed pages identical to those of the 1st ed. after the title leaf.
