- This is a non-genre collection of strange non-fiction stories. For example, page 36 is Cigar in the Sky which is a sighting by personnel at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich England of what appeared to be a Zeppelin. However, this was on November 17, 1882 or roughly 50 years before the invention of the Zeppelin. Today we would call this a UFO sighting. As the stories are non-genre and non-fiction the contents have not been entered into ISFDB contents. Please see the Bibliographic Comments for more details.
- The title is stated on the title page and front cover as "Strangely Enough! (abridged)"
- Although listed as non-fiction, the author essentially admits that many may be fiction. In his intro he writes: "A good yarn needs no explanation or excuse for the telling ... The only ones I can vouch for are those that happened to me personally, and sometimes I wonder even about those. The others are classics of their kind which have been told and retold -- and who shall say that they never happened? ... As long as there are ghosts and supernatural events which cannot be explained away by serious and logical means, we will at least have fine yarns to tell and to hear."
- "2nd printing ... May 1963"
