Concerning the credit to Lawrence (canonical name used), in the September letter column, p. 138, there is a letter that asks: 'Who is the artist responsible for the illustrations for Seeds of Space? It wouldn't be Virgil Finlay? No? I recognize it as by the same who illustrated AEVV's Shadowmen. Also Blish's Let The Finder Beware and a couple of other stories. He's certainly your best illustrator.' The editor replies on the next page that the illustrator is Stevens.
