    • 16 loose color prints (10-3/4" x 13-3/4") in a folder.
    • The back cover states: "The paintings by Richard M. Powers included in this unique portfolio, with the exceptions of the Cover Art and Plates 6, 7, and 12, were originally created as bookjacket art under the following titles:"
      The list has been entered as the TOC below, the plate numbers taking the place of page numbers.
    • The flap holding the prints has several paragraphs describing (in very tortured double-talk about the artist being "programmed" and inserted into a computer programmed for "I-Ching and worse" and his consciousness projected into an alternate reality. The paintings are supposedly proof of his trip.
    • Each print has an uncredited paragraph of text describing the painting. The descriptions are "in-universe" and attempt to portray the portfolio as a single story told in 16 (17, including the cover) illustrations.
      The plates also have an "in-universe" title/description which is included in parentheses.
    • The cover painting is titled "The City of Hyper-Ur" and this title appears in the upper left-hand corner of the image.
    • U.S. Copyright Office Copyright Number TX0001081267 puts the publication date at 1983-02-14.
