The book contains a one-page "Advertisement", followed by its text of the story proper, which omits the first paragraph of the original. It concludes with the original, concluding, bracketed note, except without the final "--Ed. Sun".
Thus the work is minimally(*) revised to fit the British audience, where The Sun of New York had published the original as reprinted from a recent issue of a British journal. (*) The text has not been examined in other respects.
