"Introduction" is attributed to "Robert Magidoff" in the table of contents, but not on the title page. R. Podolny's stories, "For the First Time" and "It Is Impossible to Sail the Sea", appear separately, but have an overall title, "Tales of the Distant Past". I. Varshavsky's "Homunculus" and "Conflict" also have an overall title, "In Man's Own Image".
    Errors and discrepancies:
    • "The Heroic Feat" is credited to "Anatole [sic] Dnieprov" on the title page, but "A. Dnieprov" in the table of contents.
    • "Desert Encounter" is attributed to "I. Rosokhvatsky" on the title page as well as in the table of contents.
    • The name of one of the co-authors of "Formula for the Impossible", E. Voiskunsky, is misspelled "E. Voisunsky" in the table of contents.
    • "Life Is So Dull for Little Girls" is attributed to "Kirill Byluchev" on the title page, but to "K. Bylichev" in the table of contents.
    • The name of one of the co-authors of "The Mystery of Green Crossing", M. Emtsev, is misspelled "M. Emtsov" in the table of contents.
    • The author of "Storm" is credited as Valentina Zhuravleva on the title page, but as "V. Zhuravleva" in the table of contents.
