The dust jacket has a printed price of $2.00 printed on the flap edge, running up the edge, near the upper right corner of the front flap. One of those Macmillan dust jackets that originally had four printed prices and the unwanted prices were clipped off leaving an odd looking jacket flap. Although one ghost in the story is rationalized later in the story, the other is not. The story could have been better with a mood more like what is seen in "He Arrived at Dusk". That title had great atmosphere but was a flop as a ghost story, where the ghost is a fake, but not a bad mystery story. This book could have been much improved with better atmosphere, but it is her only real ghost story. The dust jacket art is signed "Peers" but I have not been able to find the artists full name. There was a South African artist named Peers but I do not think this is his work. I own this book, the price came from my dust jacket.
