Fenno & Co.}}, 1900) states two copyright dates: • 1890, by United States Book Company • 1896, by American Publishers' Corporation The following leaf, unnumbered pp. 3-4 (viewed at HathiTrust), or "Publishers' Preface to Second Edition", begins with notice that the publishers are moved "to add, to a new and revised edition, illustrations befitting the text."
