Notes: A Variant edition with "first edition" stated on the copyright page. Bound in a green textured paper covered boards with black stamping. The text is printed on a cheap paper that is normally badly browned. The dust jacket has a printed price of $2.95 in the upper right corner of the front flap. The rear jacket flap has a publisher address of "750 Third Ave, New York 17" at the bottom of the flap. This address appeared on the trade second printing jackets. The rest of the jacket text appears to be the same as on the 1st issue trade dust jacket. This jacket does have wider flaps and the printing colors used are darker than on trade issues. I believe this is a Book Club of some type, even thouugh it is not marked as one.
