- Paul Alfred Müller wrote the Kim Roy concept as well as the first novella as his eventually last attempt to re-enter the scifi market in the late 1960s. As he apparently could not interest a publisher for this series both concept and novella got shelved until this publication. Helmut K. Schmidt was Müller's friend and writing partner and he completed the series based on Müller's concept.
