- Pagination is different from the paper edition. Page numbering begins from 1 on the inside cover, subsequent pagination has been kept for the indexing of this fanzine. The back page is numbered 55.
- There is considerable difference between the interior art of this paper fanzine and the equivalent e-zine edition. Multiple items of interior art for several artists have therefore been listed by number encompassing the two Journey Planet #4 editions, with some items appearing in only the paper fanzine or the e-zine, and some items appearing in both.
- Cover also appears as interior art on page 1; uncredited interior art also appears on page 33.
- The essay 'Why Do You Read Science Fiction?' directly follows the article 'I Love Science Fiction' in the paper fanzine with no separating title, beginning on page 18. (in the e-zine it appears separately, under the heading 'The Answers', below which appears the title of the interview).
- 'An Afterword from Claire' is uncredited but evidently written by Claire Brialey.
- Letters appear under a section titled 'The LoC Box', edited by Claire Brialey.
