- Author: John W. Campbell, Jr.
- Year: 1961
- Publisher: Fantasy Press
- Pages: 189
- Binding: Hardcover
- Type: Novel
- Title Reference: Invaders from the Infinite
- Notes:
- "This first edition is limited to 3000 copies of which 300 are numbered and autographed."
- According to L. W. Currey: "Limited to 112 copies signed by Campbell. This issue was prepared for Fantasy Press subscribers. Carries the standard Fantasy Press limitation notice '...limited to 3000 copies of which 300 are numbered and autographed' (erroneous in this case). These copies were not numbered by the publisher."
- Tuck doesn't provide a price or page count and gives the limitation of 300 copies total.
- Based on several Abebooks.com dealers listings, this edition was originally issued without dustjacket. In 1990 Lloyd Eshbach printed 112 dustjackets for this edition. This number coincides with the signed edition according to Currey.
- According to Reginald1, this was the first edition of the title, not the Gnome Press edition. He doesn't note the limitation.
- Chalker & Owings states that there were exactly 100 copies printed, they were all autographed, most, but not all were numbered. They also state that Fantasy Press went out of business during the preparation, and the book was turned over to Gnome Press who printed 4000 copies. The same plates were used for both editions, however a separate title page was done for the Fantasy Press edition.
- Lloyd Eshbach, in his memoir Over My Shoulder gives the copy count as 112, with no further copies printed by Fantasy Press. He agrees with Chalker & Owings that Gnome Press printed 4000 copies.
