Chalker in Fantasy Newsletter No. 62, September 1983 states that 1250 copies were printed, of which 750 were clothbound and 500 sold for Pick-a-Book. Chalker also notes that 300 additional variant jackets were printed, so that some of the Pick-a-Book volumes have the original jacket, but most have the reprint variant jacket.
