    A hardback edition was published in 1989. It is unclear from the copyright page whether this "special paperback edition" is also 1989. Note that:
    • the ISBN is the next number after the Walter McVitty 1989 hard cover (ignoring the final check digit). (Walter McVitty Books is/was a small press.);
    • the catalogue of the National Library of Australia gives the year as 1991 for this ISBN. However, the NLA record probably refers to the same ISBN / different cover & different size printing / edition - [here], the latter being a commercial /public printing.
    After comparing the 2 printings / editions that have this ISBN, and taking into account that the "special edition for Ashton Scholastic ..." has the same cover artist as the 1989 hc, I (primary verifier) have taken the date as what's on the copyright page - i.e. 1989.
