  • The cover has 3 round green "gems" inset. The cover image shown doesn't give the sense of the actual cover. For example, on the copy used for this data, the dragon around the central image is in shiny red printed on a red background that is printed to look like leather. The title (in the middle) is silver. The grey corner devices are larger and look like they are intended to represent metal corners fastened to the cover, as on some old books. The image on the publisher's website (October 2008) shows some of these features a little better.
  • The book itself "purports to be the facsimile of an original published ... 1896" (from the copyright area on the front left endpaper) and to be "edited" by "Dugald A. Steer, B.A. (Brist), S.A.S.D.".
