    • There are 19 stories if the two groups of three-story enigmas are counted as one story each, and 23 stories if each of the enigmas parts are counted separately.
    • There are 19 interior illustrations of about one-quarter page size which serve as headers for each story. Rosamund Chorley and Brian Aldiss are credited on the title page. There is no middle initial in Aldiss's credit.
    • There is linking material between each story, which reflects on the preceding story, the forthcoming story, both, or neither.
    • An acknowledgement page states that "Three Moon Enigmas" was published in the May 1995 issue of Asimov's Science Fiction. It was not.
