- Notes: Deluxe manuscript edition of 500 numbered copies, leather-bound, signed by Roberft B. Zeuschner, Thomas Grindberg, Douglas Klauba and Iain McCaig. There is a space for Michael Moorcock to sign, but no signature, attributed by the publisher to poor health. Custom traycase, which also includes a 1911-1912 ERB Document Portfolio containing forty plus replica pages including the earliest handwritten manuscript, editor correspondence, and first publications, a replica of the pen used by ERB in 1911 to write Under the Moons of Mars, and a lettered Dejah Thoris medallion. There are 20 color plates tipped in, 37 B&W illustrations and a sketch section in the back of the book. Page numbers for color plates are the facing pages. The endpapers are a detailed hemispheric map of Barsoom sketched out by ERB. The inlaid cover art on the traycase is the illustration from the dust jacket of the 1917 A.C. McClurg edition by Frank E. Schoonover. The title page has a replica of a note written by ERB for his wife twenty years after publication of the book.
