Synopsis:

From the world of the great Taliraian Prism to the planet of the Wind Rulers, from the sparkling underground caverns of the former to the soaring mountain fastenesses of the latter, the first civilizations had fallen beyond even the memory of legend. Beneath the graceful turrets of Stalasia and within the icebound Vale of Maara the scattered remnants of those first races struggled to hold their worlds against invaders manipulated by an unseen, unknown force. Magic had long fled that outside force, mysticism was on the wane, and the elemental powers were long forgotten. Into this darkening period came the race known as the Immortals, created as a balancing power to reclaim what was so nearly lost. Scattered and few, the Immortals passed many years gathering themselves together and struggling with their potential destinies. Once on their chosen path, they began piecing together fragments of vanquished histories, frustrated by the vast voids amidst these samll bits and pieces and the seeming end of ages into which they had been born.
