It is not clear if this title should be divided into a 1962 and 1966 edition. The 1966 edition (4th printing) states âWith a new introduction by Isaac Asimovâ and the introduction mentions that the story A Visitor from Outer Space had a footnote that was longer than the original story and that it â⦠has been mercifully omitted from the present editionâ. The copyright though for the 4th printing just says 1962 and so it's not clear if this reference to a new introduction and removal of the footnote (plus there may be other changes) were done in 1962, 1966, or some date in between. This anthology was a reprint of A Visitor from Outer Space published by Moscow: Foreign Languages Publishing House, 1961 and so it's possible some of these changes were done between the original and Collier editions.
