One of the earliest of the women writers in the field, she was first published in Amazing Stories Quarterly in 1929. More noted were the 57 articles which appeared in Amazing under the "Problems in Science" column from 1941 through 1948. Forest J. Ackerman has stated that in 1939 Louise Hansen attended a meeting of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, and told him that she had placed the stories for her brother.
